Through this program, the USG assists the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) strengthen the central and provincial levels of the Governments health delivery system. To build host country information capacity, Tech-Serve works with the Ministry Health Management Information System (HMIS) Department to incorporate priority information activities into the national HMIS. Tech-Serve assists the MoPH Provincial Public Health Offices to monitor all the health facilities in 13 USG supported provinces through rolling out the national Basic Package of Health Services Monitoring Checklist. In addition, Tech-serve orders and distributes the medicines used by over 350 clinics and hospitals and more than 3,800 health posts in the 13 supported provinces (as of August 2007).
