The Ministry of Women’s Affairs Initiative to Strengthen Policy and Advocacy (MISPA), implemented by The Asia Foundation, will strengthen the Ministry of Women’s Affairs’ (MoWA) lobbying and policy advocacy influence on central government through strategic planning, communications and institution building. The MISPA project will maximize the ability of the provincial Departments of Women’s Affairs (DoWAs) to mobilize community and civil society support for advancing the status of and opportunities for women; and increase management and programming capacity within Women’s Resource Centers. This is an ongoing activity under a Cooperative Agreement beginning in January 2006, and ending in January 2008.
