The first-ever business directory in Nangarhar province has been finalized and distributed to businesses and government agencies.
The 414-page directory was developed after six months of research efforts, and it includes information such as descriptive data, contact numbers, and addresses for 10,700 businesses located in the eastern region. This directory was created with technical support from the National Union of Craftsmen and Classes of Nangarhar and financial assistance from USAID as part of their small and medium enterprise development efforts.
The directory has provided customers with a link to businesses. Mr. Haji Mohammad Aghan, the Director of Nangarhar Cotton Sellers Association, noted that, “The directory has been very useful in providing essential information to businesses and the general public about companies and organization that work in the eastern region. It has filled the gap between businesses and customers.”
