USAID is implementing this two-year program to: 1) promote institutional and policy development in natural resource management; 2) strengthen capacity for policy research, analysis and monitoring by making available innovations and regional networks; and 3) establish replicable demonstration site for practical social, technical and institutional models. The program is expected to develop Afghans capable of formulating policies that are incentives for economic development and improved natural resource management of the mountain areas of Afghanistan.
