Provision of Technical Advisor to the Ministry of Finance/Treasury

Through this project, the U.S. Department of the Treasury provides a debt management advisor to the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Ministry of Finance/Treasury (MoF).  The advisor works directly with the manager and other personnel of the debt management unit in the MoF to build the capacity of the MoF in the areas of debt management, debt policy, debt reconciliation, and the framework for debt issuance.  The advisor also assists in designing an approach to managing government’s physical assets.
