This higher education project seeks to improve the quality of education that future teachers receive at Afghan universities. The construction of facilities for the faculties of higher education supports this goal by improving the overall learning conditions for future teachers. Current conditions are sub-standard, unsafe, or non-existent. The new two-story faculty buildings containing laboratories, classrooms and dormitory rooms are being constructed on six existing university campuses in Herat, Faryab, Jawzjan, Balkh, Bamiyan and Parwan provinces.
