Small Enterprise Assistance Funds (SEAF)

USAID funding through AGF will support capacity building by expanding lending operations to growth-oriented small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Afghanistan. Through the support, AGF will develop its staff and operational capacity, open five new branches in key regional economic hubs, improve accounting and loan monitoring systems, and develop Islamic financial products. USAID funding will leverage new loan capital of $60 million from the Overseas Private Investment Corporation to greatly expand AGF’s SME loan facility.
