Plants Survive Snowstorm

Greenhouse-protected plants survive in harsh weather.

80% of greenhouse plants survived the recent snow in Herat province.

80% of greenhouse plants survived the recent snow and low temperatures in Hirat province, according to a recent survey completed by USAID’s agro-enterprise alliance program. USAID is helping farmers to effectively orient their crops to allow sunlight to heat the greenhouses and plants.
